College of International, Humanitarian and Development Studies


The Social Work Program is designed to give students a solid foundation as social workers who can respond to the social welfare policies, administration and service delivery concerns of a diverse and interdependent world.

Students will be grounded in contemporary theories of social work, social policy development and human behavior. The course will combine theory with administration and practice of social work in the public, private and voluntary sectors. The course will also follow the international principles of Social Work that include human rights and social justice frameworks.

Humanitarian Affairs Track will address the need for the well-trained social workers who can enter the field of humanitarian assistance, crisis management and preparedness.

Corporate Social Work Track will be able to straddle the corporate and social development sectors.
